May 3, 1937 — Jul 28, 2026

New Weston

Jeanette C. Siefring, 89, of New Weston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, surrounded by the love of her family.

Jeanette was born on May 3, 1937, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Sebastian and Alvina (Hoying) Evers. On July 11, 1959, she married the love of her life, Lavern L. "Pat" Siefring, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena. Together they shared a remarkable marriage built on faith, hard work, and devotion to family for more than 62 years until Pat's passing on December 11, 2021.

Jeanette dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and the farming way of life. As a lifelong farmer’s wife, she worked alongside her husband while creating a warm and loving home for her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville

She found joy in life’s simple blessings—playing cards with family and friends, tending to her garden, and spending treasured moments with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Kevin Siefring (Emily Fetters) of Greenville, Gary and Lisa Siefring of St. Henry, Craig and Brenda Siefring of New Bremen, Angela Siefring of New Weston, and Timothy Siefring of New Weston; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Frances Siefring and Naomi Schaefer.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Sebastian and Alvina Evers; Lavern’s parents Florence and Anna Siefring, her brothers and in-laws, Donald and Verena Evers, Gerald Evers, Kenneth Siefring, Romie and Shirley Schaefer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday August 1st at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Burkettsville. Friends may call from 3:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, July 31, and from 9:00am -9:45am on Saturday, August 1st, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.

Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice of Coldwater and to St. Bernard Catholic Church. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Briarwood Village and EverHeart Hospice for the compassion and care they provided Jeanette during her final days.
