Jeanette M. Morrissey, age 85, of Coldwater, formerly of St. Sebastian and St. Henry, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater. She was born August 6, 1929 in Dayton to the late Louis & Hilda (Stang) Poeppelman. On November 21, 1950, she married Kenneth P. Morrissey, and he died July 20, 1983. She is survived by nine children, Barbara A. & Donald Scheer of New Bremen, Timothy P. Morrissey of Coldwater, Jerome L. Morrissey, Anna M. Morrissey, both of Celina, Judy A. Morrissey, Julie M. Morrissey, both of Coldwater, Nancy M. & Patrick Ontrop of St. Henry, Rita A. Morrissey and Amy M. Morrissey, both of Coldwater, four grandchildren, Jenna Ontrop, Jaclyn Ontrop, Melissa Schmehl and Kenneth Morrissey, one great-grandchild, a brother, William & Carol Poeppelman of Ashland, two sisters, Joann & Thomas Keck of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Rita Vonderheide of Dayton, and a brother-in-law, James Morrissey of Bradenton, Florida. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angela Lynn, a sister, Kathleen & Richard Arndts, a brother, Fr. Paul Poeppelman, and in-laws, Marilyn Poeppelman, Ron Vonderheide and Marilyn Morrissey. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and St. Sebastian Catholic Church. She graduated from Good Samaritan School of Nursing in 1950 and was a retired RN from Mercer County Community Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and bridge club. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery, St. Sebastian.
