Jason Thomas Wyen, age 47 of Avon, Indiana, formerly of McCartyville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was born on April 2, 1977, in Greenville, Ohio to Thomas & Joan (Meyer) Wyen who survive in Anna, Ohio. He married Cynthia Brown on July 8, 2000, at St. Bernard Church in Dayton, KY. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Jacob, 18 years old & Zachary, 17 years old, both of Avon, IN. He is also survived by siblings, Rachel & Kerry Drake of Springboro, OH, Valerie & Eric Householder of Monclova, OH, Stephanie & Tony Heuker of Fryburg, OH, Andrew & Jessica Wyen of Dundee, MI, as well as in-laws Debbie & Mike Groh of Coldspring KY, Angie & Gary McNay of Burlington, KY, Dianne & Paul Kloeker of Bellevue, KY as well as 26 nieces & nephews. Jason graduated with honors from Anna High School in 1995. He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from The University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2000 and earned his Master of Business Administration from Webster University in 2003. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force, proudly and bravely serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Jason was an active member of St, Mary Magdalene Church in Simpsonville, SC, and then St. Susanna Church in Plainfield after his family’s move to Indiana. He was a dedicated coach for his sons’ soccer, baseball, football and basketball teams for The Simpsonville, SC Recreation Department, The Catholic Youth Organization as well as the Avon Junior Athletic Association for many years. He was Vice President of the neighborhood Homeowners Association and a member of the Avon Planning and Zoning Committee. He had worked as a Senior Operations Manager at Target Distribution Center in Chambersburg, PA, a Supply Chain Manager at Timken Bearings in Mansfield, OH and Greenville, SC, a Senior Purchasing Manager at Express Scripts in Whitestown, IN and most recently as an Information Technology Business Relationship Manager at Cigna CuraScript in Avon, IN. Jason was a devoted, loving husband, an amazing father, son, brother, and a wonderful role model. He was a friend to all and deeply loved by everyone who knew him. There will be a visitation at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster, OH on Friday, November 8, from 3 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in McCartyville OH, followed by Full Military Honors. There will be a visitation in the back of church prior to Mass from 9 to 10 AM. In addition, a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Susanna Church in Plainfield Indiana on Thursday, November 14 at 5:30 PM for local friends. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
