Janice Raffel age 91 of Russia, Ohio died at 9:59 AM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at her home in Russia, Ohio. She was born on April 20, 1923 in the Dayton area. On December 31, 1942 she was married to Joseph M. Raffel and he preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by grandchildren Brad & Angie Heaton, Russia and Mike Heaton, Houston, Ohio, great grandchildren Shelby Bey, Cody, Sierra, Luke & Lauren Heaton. She was preceded in death by daughter Janice Boroff in 2001. She was a member of St, Remy Catholic Church, Russia and an avid visitor to The Gathering Place in Russia. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Remy Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Amberger celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Remy Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday, May 23, 2014.
