James Raterman, age 67, of Sidney formerly of Russia died Wednesday afternoon June 29, 2011. He was born June 1, 1944 in Piqua, OH to the late George & Marie (Peltier) Raterman. He was married October 17, 1964 to Joyce Voisard. She preceded him in death on April 4, 1987. He is survived by his second wife Joyce Meyer whom he married on July 23, 1994. He is also survived by his daughters Shelly & Sam Gilardi, Mt Vernon, OH, Missy & Brad Francis, Russia, step-sons Richard & Chris Meyer, John & Angie Meyer both of Botkins, David Meyer of Kettlersville, grandchildren; Ashley, Jocelyn & Kyle Gilardi, Derek, Danielle, Treg & Corrina Francis, Cameron Raterman, step grandchildren Kyle, Kayla, Collin, Courtney, Cody & Sydney Meyer, sisters, Janet & Larry Monnin, & Julie & Frank Gilardi, both of Sidney. He was preceded in death by sister Judy & son Michael. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney and former member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. He was also a member of Versailles Eagles & the Sidney Moose Lodge. After having various jobs at Copeland Corporation he retired in 2006 after 44 years of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 4, 2011 at St. Remy Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Amberger and Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer con-celebrants.
