Ivo L Gottemoeller

Ivo L. Gottemoeller age 85 of Fort Loramie passed away on January 9, 2018 at his farm in Fort Loramie.  He was born on June 27, 1932 in Fort Loramie, Ohio to the late Mark& Stella (Brunswick) Goettemoeller. He married Shirley Poeppelman on April 18, 1953 and she preceded him in death on December 29, 2003. He is survived by children: Debra & Kenneth Ernst, Fort Loramie, Russell & Rene Gottemoeller, Fort Loramie, Lynn & Charlie Ognibene, Santa Anna, CA, Lori Gottemoeller, Troy, 14 grandchildren: Lisa & Bruce Kunk, Susan & Jerrod Couser, Carla & Dan Breeze, Bill Ernst, Stacey Ernst, Kiera & Brad Sullivan, Danyel & Justin Spillers, Brittney Gottemoeller, Bradley Gottemoeller, Ryan & Jackie Ognibene, Nicole Ognibene, Jessica Ognibene, Cortney Walker & Brandon Walker, 13 great grandchildren, sister Juanita “Nippie” Dues, Minster, Jerry & Mary Goettemoeller, Miamisburg, in-laws: Marcia Goettemoeller, Fort Loramie, Edith Pleiman, Fort Loramie, Mary Lou Oldiges, Beavercreek, Joan & Bill Schwieterman, Coldwater, Phyllis Poeppelman, Minster.  He was preceded in death by sisters: Alice May (Rouston) Julien & Grant Rouston, Rose Marie, Helen, Judith Ann Goettemoeller, Norma Jean & Ed Poeppelman & brother Roger Goettemoeller, in-laws Irvin Dues, Delores & Vernon Meyer, Betty & Vernon Hoying, Irma & Fred Hoying, Clem Poeppelman & Ron Oldiges. He was a Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the K of C, Minster and the American Legion Fort Loramie. Ivo served in the US Army and was a lifelong farmer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, Ohio with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.  Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 14, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday, January 15.
