Irvin J. Dues age 87 of Minster, Ohio died at 6:20 PM on Monday, September 29, 2014 at his home. He was born on October 9, 1926 in Minster, Ohio to the late John & Katherine (Brandewie) Dues. He married Juanita Goettemoeller on April 21, 1951 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio. She survives in Minster. He is also survived by children Dale & Margaret Dues, Minster, Vickie & Jim Barrett, Ft. Loramie, and Jerry & Becky Dues, Ft. Loramie, grandchildren Amy Dues-Korte, Jodi Dues, Sarah & Dan Shuffleton, Katie & David Bergman, & Jenni Dues & fiancé Matt Bruno, great grandchildren, Kennedy, Taylor & Carter Korte, sister Lorina Geiger, Lawrenceville, GA and brother Paul Dues, Minster. He was preceded in death by infant son Robert, sisters Alvira Gudorf, Georgina Farren, Geneva Kerber and brother Gilbert Dues. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and a life member Minster VFW & American Legion & F.O.E. #1391. He was also a member of the Orphan Society of the church and of the Lake Loramie Improvement Association. He retired from New Idea, Coldwater after 44 years and then drove truck for Duco Tool & Die. He was a member of the US Navy during WWII. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Rick Neiberding celebrant. Burial with full military honors by the Minster Firing Squad will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2014 and from 9:00 to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
