Irene P. Sommer age 84 formerly of East Fourth St. Minster, OH, died Tuesday December 20, 2011 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster. She had been a resident there for 13 years. She was born February 2, 1927 in Coldwater to William and Anna Schoenlein they preceded her in death. Irene was married on October 19, 1946 in Minster to Fred F. Sommer he died October 22, 1996. She is survived by her children Perry and Nancy Sommer of Rochelle, IL; Anne and Patrick Meyer of Botkins and Fred Jr. and Sherry Sommer of Minster, a son-in-law Dan Addington of Beavercreek, OH, 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer Addington, a son Kenneth Sommer and 3 Granchildren. Irene was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, F O E 1391 Aux., Minster American Legion Aux., an avid bowler and golfer and retired from Copeland Corp of Sidney in 1983. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday in St. Augustine Church, Rev. Rick Nieberding Presider, burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 AM Till 9:30 AM Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home In Minster. Memorial donations may be made to The Heritage Manor Activity Fund.
