Herbert R. 'Pete' Huber, age 81, of North Star Ohio, died 12:35 AM on Monday, May 02, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born June 20, 1929 in Ft. Loramie OH to Frank H. and Hedwig (Schulze) Huber. On March 03, 1962 he married Dorothy Ann (Bertke) in Celina, Ohio and she died January 31, 1994. Herbert is survived by daughter Angela & Harvey Becraft of North Star, Ohio, a son Keith & Cathy Huber of North Star, Ohio, ten grandchildren, April Ann, Tiffany Marie, Shawn Allen, Shane Michael, Christopher Dylan, Terra Ann, Trina Marie, Trevor Robert, Trey Michael, & Trent Joseph, eight great grandchildren, Makenzie, Novale Jordan, Katelynn, Bryce, Austin, Scarlett, Kaylee, eight siblings Rita Stammen of Ft. Recovery, Ohio, Ruth & Carl Stammen of Burkettsville, Ohio, Dorothy Barga of North Star, Ohio, Mildred Siefring of Coldwater, Ohio, Paul & Barb Huber of North Star, Ohio, Betty & Tony Feltz of St. Henry, Ohio, Frank & Diane Huber of North Star, Ohio and Louis & Jane Huber of Versailles, Ohio, four in-laws, Lavern Rindler of Burkettsville, Ohio, Helen Bertke of Celina, Ohio, Wilma Bruns of Celina, Ohio and Juanita Rose of Englewood, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother Norb, sisters Eleanor & Virgil Schoenlein, Dolores Rindler, brothers-in-law, Melvin Stammen, Othor Barga, Elmer Siefring, Clarence Bertke, Carl & Ludwina Bertke, Al Bruns and Herman Rose . He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, Ohio, North Star American Legion, Korean War Veterans in Piqua, Ohio and a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea. He retired from the former Mersman Plant in Celina after 43 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 05, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, Ohio with Fr. David Zink, officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, North Star Ohio.
