Helen B. Kahlig, age 88, formerly of Coldwater, died on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Community Hospital, Coldwater. She was born May 9, 1925 in St. Rose, to the late Lawrence & Mary (Heitkamp) Everman. On October 17, 1945 she married Norbert A. Kahlig and he passed away, September 16, 1995. She is survived by three children, Janice (Ken) Speck of St. Henry, Phyllis (Jim) Bodiker of Montezuma and Jerry Kahlig of Montezuma, a son-in-law Jerry Bertke of Ft. Recovery, 9 grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a sister Dolores Stouder of Beavercreek. She is preceded in death by daughters Patricia Bertke, Karen & Sharon Kahlig, a sister Viola (Bill) Wuebker, and two brothers Norbert & Ronald Everman. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and the ladies sodality at St. Peter Church, Ft. Recovery. She retired from housekeeping at Briarwood. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
