Hazel P. (Ginger) Rudolph, age 90, of 910 N. Sugar St. in Celina, Ohio, passed away at 1:40p.m on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was born on November 15, 1921 in West Milton, Ohio to the late Harley & Rosa (Bond) Newman. On March 22, 1945 she married Leroy Rudolph, who died April 13, 1994. Survivors include her daughter Dusky (Sharon) Crosley of Azle, TX., 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son William Newman, brothers Sherman Newman, Donald Newman, Dennis Newman, Maurice Newman, Richard Newman and her sister Patricia Persinger and Helen Saunders. She was a 1939 graduate of Milton-Union High School. She served her country in the United States Air Force during World War II. Hazel became a beautician after High School and then sold Real Estate with Ken Wright in Greenville. She owned and operated Newman Trucking in Troy, Ohio with her husband. She was a part owner of D.B. Ecology Co. in Troy. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans in Greenville, Past Commander of the Celina American Legion Post #210 and a Life member of the Celina V.F.W. Aux. Post #5713, Celina Amvets, Shaboom Fan Club in Celina, Mercer County Council on Aging, National Association of American Women, and was known as Mrs. Claus for over 30 years in the Celina area. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday January 16, 2012 at the Bailey-Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles, Ohio, with Rev. Stephen Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Versailles. Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday January 14, 2012 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and 3-6p.m. on Sunday January 15, 2012 at the Bailey-Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
