Harold J. Goettemoeller, age 83, of Botkins, Ohio, died Sunday January 2, 2011 at his apartment at Dorothy Love Retirement Center. He was born January 9, 1927 in St. Henry, OH to the late Gregor & Mary (Kramer ) Goettemoeller. He married Dolores L. Tootie Eilerman on September 6, 1952. She preceded him in death on September 23, 2001. He is survived by children: Duane & Melody Goettemoeller, McCartyville, James Goettemoeller, Botkins, John & Diana Goettemoeller, Botkins, Nancy & Carl Stehulak, Defiance, Joe & Joanna Goettemoeller, Botkins, Pam & Jim Kaiser, New Bremen; brothers & sisters, Fr. Leonard Goettemoeller, Carthagena, Ivo & Esther Goettemoeller, St. Henry, Mildred Wuebker, St. Henry, Wilma Link, Ft. Recovery; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law George Minnich, Portland, IN, Verena Goettemoeller, Rockford, Wilma Drees, New Carlisle, Edna Fullenkamp, Botkins, Cletus & Dolores Eilerman, Columbus, Leona Speck, West Milton, Ralph Eilerman, Ft. Loramie, Sister Marge Eilerman, Booneville, KY, Donald Schwartz, Botkins, Rita Eilerman, McCartyville; 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters Alvin Goettemoeller, Marie Minnich, Norbert & Edna Kremer, Lawrence Link, Ray Wuebker, Urban Fullenkamp, Rita & Richard Brunswick, John Speck, Mary Schwartz, Norbert Eilerman. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins, IBEW Local #32, NFO and a Korean War Veteran. He was an Electrician for Sidney Electric and a longtime farmer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins with Rev. John Tonkin, celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, from 2 to 8 PM on Wednesday January 5, 2011 and from 9 to 10 AM on Thursday, January 6, 2011. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Botkins. Condolences may be made at www.hogenkampfh.com
