Gregg Thobe

Gregg Thobe age 56 of New Bremen died on November 4, 2017 at his home in New Bremen.  He was born on November 19, 1960 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Harold “Whitey” and Virginia “Ginny” (Winner) Thobe.  He married Lisa Finke on February 28, 1982 in New Bremen and she survives in New Bremen.  He is also survived by children: Benjamin Thobe, New Bremen and Lindsay Thobe, Chicago, IL, brothers & sisters: Vivian Schmitt, Fort Recovery, Cindy & Randy Grapner, Celina, Terry & Sue Thobe, Chickasaw, Patrick “PJ” & Carla Thobe, Maria Stein, Joyce & Pete Hierholzer, Celina, Glen & Ann Thobe, Montezuma, Chris Thobe, Celina, in-laws: Robert & Mary Finke, New Bremen, sisters-in-law: Michelle Finke, New Bremen and Staci & Gary Jones, New Bremen.  Greg was the owner & operator of Thobe Oil for 40 years and part owner of Chickasaw Qwik Stop and Maria Stein Oil Co.  He was a 1979 graduate of Marion Local High School.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, New Bremen, Ohio. Burial will follow in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.  Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 8.
