Gerald R. Francis

Gerald R. Francis, age 79 of Indianapolis formerly of Russia died Monday June 5, 2023 at Community North Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born on February 14, 1944 in Fort Loramie, Ohio to the late Leroy & Mary (Seger) Francis. He is survived by his children: Rebecca & Mohammed Esbaa, Columbus, Holly & Brooke Graham, Syracuse, Utah, Christopher & Elizabeth Francis, Lima, grandchildren: Zakaria, Jeran, Katherine, Jacob, Alana, brothers & sisters: Ron Francis, Wanda Monnin, Mike Francis, Doug Francis, Matt Francis, John Francis, Madeline Daniels, Theresa Matthews, Monica Francis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Leroy, Jr. & Mark. He was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War and spent his career as a successful banker and being named the American Banker of the Year. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, June 12, 2023 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. Burial with full military honors to follow in St. Remy Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Russia on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 1 to 3 PM and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rustic Hope.
