George N. Black, age 80, of Coldwater, Ohio, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert. He was born June 10, 1932 in Coldwater, to the late William & Florence (Houser) Black. On April 27, 1957, he married Loretta (Caldwell), who is deceased. He is survived by seven children, Thomas & Chris Black of Auburn, Indiana, Roger & Vicki Black of St. Marys, Robert Black of Celina, Ed Black of Coldwater, Roy Black of Coldwater, Connie & Dean Yaney of Celina and Brenda & Tom Haynes of Coldwater, 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Black of Rockford. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Florence Ann Black, five brothers and one sister. He was a member of the Coldwater American Legion Post #470 and the Coldwater Eagles. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in Swamp College Cemetery, Celina. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Health Professionals.
