Gary J. Gerwels

Gary J. Gerwels age 71 of Minster, Ohio died at 7:00 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at The VA Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio.  He was born on January 16, 1951 to the late Karl & Marjorie (Bernard) Gerwels.  He is survived by children: Carly Gerwels, Minster, Kyle & Jessica Gerwels, Bellefontaine, Ohio, Crystal & Skip Levan, Knoxville, TN grandchildren: Rebekah, Evelyn, Clara, Olivia, Natalie, Landon, Tucker, Hannah and Haiden. Gary was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster, Minster F.O. E. #1391, Minster VFW and retired from Hartzell Fan, Piqua. He was a veteran of the US Army 1 ^st Calvary during the Vietnam War.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.  Burial with full military honors will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 and from 8:30 to 9 AM on Thursday.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the David's United Church of Christ Quilters, Kettering, Ohio.
