Frederick A. "Fritz" Benanzer Jr. age 81 formerly of 7630 Mason Road, Sidney, OH died Sunday at 9:40 PM in Piqua, OH. He was born June 16, 1929 in Sidney, Ohio to Frederick and Johanna (Mertz) Benanzer, they preceeded him in death. He is survived by one sister Leona Hoke of St. Louis, MO. Also Survived by a sister in-law Hilda Benanzer and her children Phyllis and Jim Lehmkuhl, Edward and Karen Benanzer, Janice Benanzer, William and Lisa Benanzer and Jane and Dale Deloye, with whom Fred lived for many years. He was proceeded in death by his siblings Henrietta and Robert Wuebker, Eleanor and Clarence Wuebker, Urban and Loretta Benanzer, Albert and Rosemary Benanzer, Bertha and Ludwig Selhorst, Edward Benanzer and a Brother in-law Richard Hoke. Fred is also survived by his caregivers for the last 20 years Eunice Wilkerson and Toyniece and Kevin Curl & family of Piqua, OH. Fred was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church Ft. Loramie and St. Boniface Catholic Church, Piqua, OH. He retired from The Stolle Corp. of Sidney after 33 Years and also a retired farmer. He was an avid card player and a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM Friday at St. Michael Church Rev. Steven Shoup Presider, Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Ft. Loramie. Friends may call from 3:00 Pm till 7:00 Pm Thursday and 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster. Memorial Donations may be made to the Hospice of Miami County and Shelby County Adult Day Care.
