Fred D. Conkel age 70, of Coldwater died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at his residence. He was born July 27, 1941 in Celina, OH to the late Robert & Freda (Drummond) Conkel. He married Frances A. Sherrill on June 29, 1968. She survives in Coldwater. He is also survived by children Darrel Lee & Mary Conkel, Celina, Robert & Kristen Conkel, Plain City, OH, Kimberly & Jamie Schott, 7 grandchildren Dustin, Katie, David, Ryan, Hunter, Nicholas & Jaret. He was a member of Celina Baptist Temple, the Celina VFW and American Legion and the Saddle Club at the Fairgrounds. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, July 2 at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina with Pastor Bill Drummond officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday and from 12 pm until service time on Monday. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens with full military honors by Celina Firing Squad.
