Frank C. Grieshop age 81, of Russia, Ohio died on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy, Ohio. He was born on April 6, 1945 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Frank B. & Rosa (Mueller) Grieshop. He married Gloria Jean Reinhard on June 3, 1967. Jean survives in Versailles. He is also survived by children: Laura & Jim Batten, Greenville, Jackie & Dan Watren, Versailles Denise & Dave Jones, Anna, Nickie & Ryan Meyer, Versailles, Anita Grieshop, Greenville, daughters-in-law Marla Grieshop, Russia, Renee Grieshop, Hillard, siblings, Louis Greishop, St. Henry, Betty Lange, St. Henry, Mary Ann & Carl Pohl, Maria Stein, Linus & Jane Grieshop, Minster, Robert & Judy Grieshop, Willowdell, Jerry & Donna Grieshop, Osgood, Florence Wenning, Springboro, Jane & Nicholas Varney, Alaska, Nancy Grieshop, Kettering, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Stanley, & Jason, siblings: Albert Grieshop, Martha & Ed Schroeder, in-laws: Mary Ann Grieshop, Alfred Lange, Robert Wenning. Frank was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, and the Versailles K of C. He will always be remembered for arriving at Mass with his horse and buggy. As a devout Catholic, he lived a spiritual life, obedient to God. He was a member of the church choir and enjoyed singing at Mass and involved in bible studies.
He was a lifelong farmer, who saw God’s beauty in the land and had deep love for his farm. In his early years, he also worked at Willowdell Sales and Wayne Trail. For the past 30+ years his farm was certified organic. He made life’s work simple through organic farming and gardening, and using animals, mainly horses, to carry the load. He used sustainable practices that came from renewable resources of the earth that do not pollute and cause disease. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia, on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM and on Tuesday, July 21 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services, specifically for sustainable communities and Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
