Florentine “Florie” was a devout Catholic, a dedicated caring mother and a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.  She volunteered her time at St. Peter’s Neurological Center, Maria Stein Spiritual Center, Caring Ministry, and Mercer County Right to Life.  She was a faithful Marion Local Flyer fan and enjoyed cheering on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in countless games and events.  She loved crocheting.  Florie made an afghan for every child and grandchild.  She also enjoyed gardening and especially tending to her flowers.  However, playing cards is what lit the fire within her.  Florie took an interest in everybody and never knew a stranger.  Her beautiful family is her legacy that will endure.  A Mass of Christian Burial following all CDC guidelines will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday January 2, 2021 at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw.  Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw.  Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Friday, January 1 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer County Right to Life.  Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
