Evelyn M. Woeste

Evelyn M. Woeste, age 97, of Coldwater (formerly of St. Rose), died on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Briarwood Village. She was born August1, 1917 in Philothea, to the late Ben & Catherine (Schoenlein) Dues. On October 12, 1940, she married Clete Woeste, who survives. She is survived by three children, Janice & Don Broering of Coldwater, Frank & Donna Woeste of St. Henry, Karen & Jim Scheer of Celina, a son-in-law Brad Hegemier of Minster, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, a sister Lucille Jansen of Coldwater and in laws Helen Dues of Coldwater and Betty & Gene East of Tipp City. She is also preceded in death by a daughter Joan Hegemier a sister Mary & Bill Wellman, three brothers Walter Dues, Gene & Rita Dues and Melvin Dues and in-laws Dennis Jansen, Velma & Ferd Dwenger and Mary & Les Hubartt. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, she volunteered at Community Hospital and Briarwood Manor. Prior to her marriage she worked at the Knitting Mill in Ft. Wayne, IN and the Buckeye in Coldwater. Evelyn was a very gentle and optimistic person who loved her family, she enjoyed her flower garden, bingo and chocolate. A private family service will be held.
