Eugene J. Bricher

Eugene J. Bricher, age 76, of Coldwater, died on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. He was born October 23, 1942, at home in St. Anthony to the late Orval & Agnes (Minnich) Bricher. On July 3, 1961, he married Patricia (Schwieterman), and she survives in Coldwater. Eugene is also survived by children, Steve & Denise Bricher of Urbana, Lisa Bricher of Anna, and Michele Bricher of Coldwater; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings and in-laws, Edith Bader of Rockford, Robert & Reba Bricher of Pickerington, Tom & Barb Bricher of Coldwater, Richard Bricher of Celina, Jim & Pam Bricher of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Jane & Dwight Martin of Bryant, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his son Mark and his brother-in-law, William Bader. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Eugene started working at the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater. He was an entrepreneur starting Bricher Trash Service leading into multiple business endevours, and also loved farming his land. Eugene was an avid coon hunter, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 11, from 3 to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Care.
