Eugene F. "Gene" Bergman age 82 of 8635 Erie Dr. Maria Stein died at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his home in Maria Stein, Ohio. He was born October 1, 1930 in Maria Stein, Ohio to the late Lawrence & Frances (Bruns) Bergman. He married Kathleen "Kate" Schulze on June 20, 1956 in Osgood, Ohio. She preceded him in death 11 days ago on November 10, 2012. He is survived by children Linda & Steve Moelller, Maria Stein, Randy & Linda Bergman, Maria Stein, Jay & Pam Bergman, Montezuma, Jody & Rick Gerlach, St. Henry, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, brothers & sister Anna Marie Osterloh, Coldwater, Raymond "Jim" & Faye Bergman Dayton, Otmar "Curly" & Margaret Bergman Montezuma, Larry & Jeanne Bergman, Egypt, sister-in-law Iva Lou Bergman, New Bremen, brothers-in-law Tom Minch, Zenia & Bob Wilhoff, New Carlisle. He was preceded in death by brothers Dick & Marinus Bergman, sisters Irene Minch, Teresa Wilhoff, brother-in-law Ralph Osterloh. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. He was a Little League coach in the Marion Local community and a volunteer at Marion Local Schools. He was a co-owner/operator at New Bremen Machine & Tool and an avid Marion Local Flyer fan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein with Rev. Gene Schnipke celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 25, and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday, November 26. Burial will take place in St. John Cemetery.
