Elmer H. Klosterman, age 84, of Celina, died on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. He was born September 18, 1929 in Dayton, to the late Lawrence L. & Florentina C. (Kramer) Klosterman. On October 16, 1954, he married Eulalia (Stammen) in St. Bernard Church, Burkettsville and she survives in Celina. He is also survived by four sons, Brian & Karen Klosterman of Celina, and their children: Tara, Eric, Layne, Terry & Angie Klosterman of Celina, and their children: Jamie, Julie, Jim & Susan Klosterman of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and their children: Ross, and Josie, Chandler and Carleen, and Dan Klosterman of Celina, a brother, Norman 'Whitey' & Rita Klosterman of Celina, two sisters, Mary Siegrist of Ft. Recovery and Esther Borger of Celina and in-laws, Margie Klosterman of Dayton, Delores Groff of Dayton, Tillie Stammen of St. Henry, Sally Stammen of Burkettsville, Ruth Stammen of Burkettsville, Ruth Stammen of New Weston and Lois Stammen of St. Henry. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristin the daughter of Terry & Angie, a brother, Vernon Klosterman, a sister, Irma Eiting and in-laws Ken Eiting, Ed Siegrist, Melvin Borger, Coletta Stammen, Armella Stammen, Margaret & Norbert Langenkamp, Edward & Bernadine Stammen, Herman Stammen, Cyril Stammen, Alfons & Esther Stammen, Cornelius & Anna Mae Stammen, Virgil Stammen, Carl Stammen, Lawrence Stammen, Ado & Marie Langenkamp and Joseph Groff. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, where he sang in the choir for 20 years, was a lector for 3 years, a Eucharistic minister for 6 years and served on the Parish Council twice. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War for 22 months; as a Platoon Master Sergeant for 11 months and in an Infantry Tank Company for 8 months. He was a member of the Coldwater American Legion Post #470, the Chickasaw V.F.W. and was a member of the Montezuma Ducks Baseball. Elmer was a 1947 graduate of Coldwater High School, worked at Reynolds & Reynolds for 40 years, 25 years as a Bindery Supervisor, and also farmed. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma. Burial with military rites will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
