Elmer G. Dorsten

Elmer G. Dorsten, age 91, of Coldwater, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Otterbein, St. Marys. He was born May 5, 1924 in Chickasaw to the late Henry & Elizabeth (Grieshop) Dorsten. On August 4, 1945, he married Laura M. (Borgerding), and she died February 9, 1997. He is survived by four children, Judy & John Luthman of St. Marys, Fred & Linda Dorsten of St. Marys, Phyllis & Paul Hanna of Celina and James Dorsten of Celina, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Alvina & Jerome Miller of Coldwater and a brother-in-law, Oscar Borgerding of St. Henry. He is preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Dorsten and a sister, Edna Borgerding. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Coldwater Kiwanis Club, Coldwater American Legion and was a lifetime member of the 80th Div. Veteran Association and Coldwater VFW. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 24 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Burial will be at a later time. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00-4:00 PM on Sunday.
