Elizabeth Ann, "Betty" Overman, age 80 of 1495 St. Rt. 716 Maria Stein, Ohio died at 8:40 AM at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born May 3, 1933 in Osgood, Ohio to the late Joseph R. & Cecilia E. (Bruening) Frey. She married Cyril F. Overman on October 3, 1953, in Osgood, Ohio. He survives in Maria Stein. She is also survived by her children Deb & Roger Kremer, St. Henry, Howard & Pat Overman, New Bremen, Tammy & Lou Schwieterman, Montezuma, Bonnie & Jim Rutschilling, Celina, Frank & Jayne Overman, New Bremen, Lisa & Tony Goecke, Liberty, IN, Mandy & Lester Fleck, St. Sebastian, son-in-law, Gary Rose, St. Sebastian, 28 grandchildren & 25 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters, Walter & Bernice Frey, Osgood, Marian & Walter Braun, St. Rose, Marilyn Homan, Coldwater, Alberta & Willard Bruns, St. Sebastian, in laws Juliana Frey, Ft. Loramie, Herbert Hoying, Sidney, Bernie Frey, Dayton, Benard Hemmelgarn, Minster Dorothy Gerlach, St. Henry, Louis & Joan Overman, Maria Stein, Marilyn & Bill Braun, Columbus, Joan Overman, Celina, Alma Overman, Dayton. She was preceded in death by daughter Joyce Rose, brothers & sisters, Dorothy Hoying, Lucille & Andrew Bergman, Ralph & Esther Frey, Alvin Frey & Vernon Frey, Donald Homan, Vi and Norbert Dippold, Alvina Hemmelgarn, Rich and Alma Overman, Otmar Overman, Linus Overman. Betty was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and past president of the St. Anne Ladies Sodality, and Charter Member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary, Post 571. She retired as co-manager of the Maria Stein Legion Bar for 17 years and as Church custodian. During her spare time she took pride sewing for the veterans making ditty bags and lap blankets. She was also a huge Marion Local "Flyer" and Notre Dame fan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Wednesday July 31, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Brenberger celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday July 31, 2013.
