Edward Meyer, age 94 of North Star, Ohio passed away at Briarwood Village on Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was born April 26, 1917 in Willowdell to the late Joseph & Rosa (Koester) Meyer. He married Margaret R. DeLoye on October 23, 1946. She preceded him in death on November 30, 1999. He is survived by children, Jerome & Nancy Meyer, Coldwater, Sylvia & Thomas Goubeaux, Greenville, Patricia & Roger Winner, North Star, Rita Meyer & Thomas Maynard, Sidney, Karen & Jack Magoteaux, Versailles, sister Alice Pohlman, Coldwater, 18 grandchildren Beverly & David Crusey, Kenneth & Petra Meyer, Philip Meyer, Gail & Gregory Short, Steve Goubeaux, Mark & Diane Goubeaux, Dan & Patty Winner, Dale & Denise Winner, Deb & Steve Marshal, Brian & Lisa Winner, Kevin & Kelly Winner, Chris Pohl, Melissa Pohl & Rev. Jonathon Fettig, Craig & Michelle Pohl, Melinda Pohl & Chad Niezgoda, Michelle & Kris Dickey, Melanie & Jeff Edlund, Matthew & Stephanie Magoteaux, 36 great grandchildren, Elisabeth, Maria, Pepina, Mikayla, Dalton, Mitchell, Jared, Mallory, Elliott, Morgan, Logan, Reagan, Deanna, Derek, Danielle, Justin, Emily, Mallory, Katelyn, Kimberly, Lewis, Luke, Lincoln, Roger, Russell, Kylee, Camryn, Carson, James, Mason, Finley, Quinn, Caden, Ethan, Kiersten, Lauryn. He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters, Sr. Anna Meyer, Mary Meyer, Albert, Lawrence, Joseph, Clara DeLoye, Urban, Wilfred & Emma Meyer. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, and of the Holy Name Society. He was a retired dairy farmer, sold seed corn for 35 years & a township trustee for 16 years. He loved woodworking, playing cards & telling stories & jokes. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star with Rev. David Zink Celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, OH from 3 to 7 PM on Monday September 5, 2011 and at ST LOUIS CATHOLIC CHURCH from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
