Edgar H. Bruns, age 69 of Russia, OH died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. He was born May 7, 1941 in Russia to the late Stephen & Lucille (Monnin) Bruns. He married Carole Ritter on May 12, 1962 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. She survives in Russia. He is also survived by children; Greg & Kathy Bruns, Russia, Scot Bruns, Russia, Nichole & Nickolas Schulze, Oran, brothers & sisters; Marilyn & Jim Cullen, Tipp City, Anthony & Linda Bruns, Versailles, step brothers & step sister, Jack & Joan Alexander, Cassella, Ken & Cindy Alexander, Ft. Loramie, Gene & Jeanie Bruns, Maria Stein, Joy Mason, Centerville; 5 grandchildren, Stephen Bruns, Katelin Bruns, Cassandra Bruns, Meghan Bruns, Christina Schulze. He was preceded in death by step sister Sherrie Mescher. He was a member St. Remy Catholic Church, past member of the Russia Board of Education for 18 ½ years, Russia Knights of Columbus. He was owner and operator of Bruns Machine & Tool. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 28, 2011 at St. Remy Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Amberger Celebrant. Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia, OH on Thursday from 3 to 8 PM and on Friday from 9 to 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Remy Cemetery.
