Earl E. Winner

Earl E. Winner, age 82 of Minster, Ohio, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at his home.  He was born on August 10, 1941 in Minster, Ohio to the late Leo G. & Rosa C. (Evers) Winner.  On March 8, 1984 he married Dianne (Schulze) Meyer.  She survives in Minster.  He is also survived by children: Toby & Samantha Meyer, Cincinnati, Erica & Keith Leighton, Columbus, Brittany Winner & Ryan Gorman, Cincinnati, Austin Winner & Emmy Schroder, Covington, KY, 8 grandchildren, brothers & sister: Harold Winner, Evelyn Heitkamp, Norman & Carolyn Winner, in-laws: Barbara Winner, Luella Albers, Ralph & Rita Schulze.  He was preceded in death by brother Eugene Winner, in-laws Ann Winner, George Heitkamp, Clarence Schulze, Vera Bemus, Urb Schulze, Al Schulze, Hilda Battson, Paul Schulze, Mary Magoteaux, Betty Baltes, Helen Frantz, Norma Middendorf.  He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Osgood American Legion, one of the founding members of the Goat Farmers.   He was a lifelong farmer, and owned Winner Construction, specializing in silo building and demolition, and an owner or investor of many local bars.  He was a 1959 graduate of Minster High School. He enjoyed boating and snowmobiling with family and friends. Earl’s children especially enjoyed his stories of his countless adventures. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 1 to 5 PM and on Monday, April 29 from 9:00 to 9:30 AM.
