Dorothy K. Siegrist age 94 formerly of Maria Stein, Ohio died at 5:10 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater. She was born on August 22, 1920 in Maria Stein Ohio to the late Ludwig & Hildegard (Goecke) Hausfeld. She married Vitus Siegrist on April 28, 1945 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2003. She is survived by children: Judy & John Jernigan, Chickasha, OK, Mike & Kathy Siegrist, Maria Stein, Lois Siegrist, Maria Stein, son-in-law & wife Rick & Gail Sells, Dayton, 10 grandchildren: Katherine & Jon Kopec, Sarah & Ryan McGovern, Elizabeth & Nick Strickling, Angela & Matt Kitzmiller, Brenda Patton, Christa & Kyle Rainey, Dana & Kortney Kugel, Elaina & Doug Gansert, Kelly Sells & Matthew Sells, 13 great grandchildren: Zachary, Wesley & Henry Kopec, Cassidy & Elle McGovern, Jacob & Owen Kitzmiller, Lillian & Lucas Patton, Lydia Rainey, William Kugel, Ellis & Vincent Gansert. She was preceded in death by daughter Jean Sells, brother Marcellus & Mildred Hausfeld. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein and the Ladies Sodality of the Church. She was a graduate of St. John High School, Maria Stein in 1938. She loved gardening and flowers. Her major hobby was pie & chocolate chip cookies. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Friday, March 13, 2015 St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will take place in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, and from 9:00 to 10:00AM on Friday, March 13.
