Dorothy L. Benner, age 99 of Coldwater, died Sunday, April 28, 2019 at her home in Coldwater. She was born March 14, 1920 in Virginia to the late John & Katherine (Schmidt) Kohnen. On July 13, 1940 in River Rouge, Michigan she married Tom Benner and he passed away in 2001. She is survived by her children, Ginny & Denny Westhoff of Surprise, Arizona, Mike & Sharon Benner of Melbourne Beach, Florida, Jim & Nancy Benner of Savannah, Georgia, Tom & Pat Benner of Jackson, Michigan, Barb Benner of Coldwater and Betsy Benedetto of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Aimee in 1986. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater and was a Volunteer at Coldwater Hospital. Mass of Christina Burial will be held at 12:30 pm Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater from 10 am to noon Thursday. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com
