Donald G. Purpus

Donald G. Purpus, age 64 of Bradford, Ohio died at 2:47 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.  He was born November 18, 1952 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Theodore & Norma (Woehrmyer) Purpus.  He is survived by his children: Amy & Ted Wissman, Minster & Bryan Purpus and his significant other Brandy Vogan, grandchildren Taylor, Kaycie, Jacob, Jamison, Briley & Isaiah, sister Nancy & Tim Jay, brother Jay & Renée Purpus, family friend, Ruth Bitler all of Minster, nieces & nephews: Holly, Russell & Tatiania, Andy & Angie, Matthew, Sarah, Craig & Sarah & Benjamin and Dan & Treva and Nikki & T.C..  He was preceded in death by sister Janet & Lyn Belcher and family friend Jeff Bitler.  He worked for Fullenkamp Frenchtown Trailer Sales, was a former U.S. Auto Club Sprint Division Official and one of the first crew members for Bettenhausen Motor Sports.  Don was a member of the Minster FOE and enjoyed watching Bengals games and racing with his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster with Rev. Deacon Hal Belcher officiating.  Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 24, and from 9:30 to 10:15 AM on Monday, September 25.  Burial will take place in German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
