Dolores L. Homan age 90 formerly of McCartyville died 10:00 PM on Thursday August 15, 2013 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, Ohio. She was born May 21, 1923 in Frenchtown, Ohio to the late Joseph & Emma (Neargarder) Smith. She married Aloys J. Homan on April 16, 1947 in Frenchtown, Ohio. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1982. She is survived by children, Linda & Richard Harsh, Greenville, Michael & Marian Homan, McCartyville, Kevin & Mary Beth Homan, Kettlersville, Arlene & Mark Turney, Orrville, Ohio, Jean & Garth Walker, Houston, TX, Judy & Greg Buehler, McCartyville, 19 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson, Justin Bryiant, brothers & sisters Leonard Smith, Leroy Smith, Phyllis Sells, Vereda Welch & Francis Smith. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, the Rosary & Alter Sodality of the Church, Rosary Committee, Adoration Hour Group, Prayer Line, Radio Rosary & NAIM of the North. She was a volunteer for Wilson Hospital and a lifetime member of NFO. She loved reading, playing cards and her family. She was a farm wife and a homemaker. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Wednesday, August 22, 2013 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with Rev. John Tonkin Celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, McCartyville from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, and from 9:0 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21.
