Dolores R. "Dottie" Fullenkamp

Dolores R. “Dottie” Fullenkamp, of St. Joe, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  She was born November 30, 1943, in Maria Stein, to the late Roman & Norma (Rutschilling) Huelskamp.  On June 6, 1964, she married her husband, Robert Fullenkamp Sr.  Bob and Dottie were married just over 60 years, and Bob survives at home in St. Joe.  Dottie is also survived by seven children and their spouses: Deb & Randy Homan of Maria Stein, Shel & Jerry Sutter of Ft. Recovery, Pat & Brian Link of Portland, Bob Jr. & Linda (Reinhart) Fullenkamp of Ft. Recovery, Mike & Stacy (Germann) Fullenkamp of Greenville, Carol & Tom Kaiser of Celina, Darlene & David Meyer of Versailles. Other surviving family members include 28 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, with three on the way, as well as siblings and in-laws: Linda & Dan Thieman, Diane Schulze, Alice & John Otte, and Karen & Neil Romer, all of St. Henry,  Don & Terri Huelskamp of Maria Stein, Ben & Annette Huelskamp of Maria Stein, John & Diane Huelskamp of St. Henry, Glen Huelskamp of Celina, June & Rhonda Juliano-Huelskamp of Washington, Judy & Dave Evers of Yorkshire, Paul Gehret of North Star, Mary Ann & Ed Dirksen of New Weston, Larry Meyer of Chickasaw, and Dorothy Borger of St. Henry.

In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steve Braun, as well as siblings, Jane Huelskamp, Dale Huelskamp, Mark Huelskamp, and in-laws: Lavern Schulze, and William Broering, her father and mother-in-law Herman & Mary (Hess) Fullenkamp, and in-laws: Mildred & Eugene Huelskamp, Bernice Gehret, Anthony & Rosemary Fullenkamp, Jeanette Meyer, and James Borger.

Dottie was a 1961 graduate of Marion Local High School.  She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Ladies Sodality at St. Joe.  She was a devoted, faithful, and loving wife, spending many hours on the family dairy farm.  Later she worked at Visions in Celina and at The St. Henry Dairy Dream.  She was a volunteer at the Center for Neurological Development in Burkettsville and was an avid blood donor.  Dottie enjoyed being active with the St. Louis Sewers and Knotters in North Star.  She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and never missed getting them fresh cinnamon rolls on their birthdays.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe, with Father Ethan Moore presiding.  Burial in St. Joe Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.  Friends and family may call from 2 pm to 7pm on Tuesday, October 1, or from 9am to 10am on Wednesday, October 2 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.  Memorial contributions may be made in Dottie’s honor to The Mercer County Right to Life, or The Center for Neurological Development.  Condolences for the family may be expressed in person or may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
