Dennis A. "Denny" Dues, age 72 of 1013 Fairground Rd. Celina, Ohio passed away at 4:00p.m. on Saturday June 21, 2014, at home with his family. He was born on Feb. 1, 1942 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Clem & Regina (Bruns) Dues. On Oct. 26, 1963 he married Mary Birkmeyer , who lives in Celina. Also surviving are his two sons & daughters-in-law Michael & Shawn Dues of Celina, Steve & Danielle Dues of Spencerville, seven grandchildren Erin & Jacob Zimmerly, Adam & Brooke Dues, Alex Dues, Tyler Dues, Ben Dues, Brandon Dues, Jason Dues, three step grandchildren Alissa Mir, Arianne Mir, Christopher Mir, four great grandchildren Becca, Jadyn, Benson and Jared Zimmerly, two brothers & sisters-in-law Virgil & Irene Dues of Coldwater, Gary & Jan Dues of Celina, Dorothy Graham of Allen, TX, Joan Dues of Coldwater and his sister & brother-in-law Marlene & Rob Fisher of Coldwater. Denny was preceded in death by his two brothers Leon Dues and Orville Dues. He graduated from Coldwater High School with the Class of 1961 and then graduated from the Ohio State Barber College. He was the Co-Owner of George & Denny's Barber Shop for 40 years and retired in 2002. Then he was employed by Dues Nursery. Denny coached little league football in Celina for 20 years. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow-up and attending their sporting events. Denny was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday June 25, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 2-8p.m. on Tuesday June 24, 2014 and from 9-10a.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Knights of Columbus Prayer service will be held at 8:00p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the I.C. endowment Fund or State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice.
