Dennis “Doc” C. Bergman, age 80, Coldwater, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater. He was born on September 2, 1944 to the late Albert & Lidwina (Stelzer) Bergman. On May 30, 1967 he married Jo Ann (Heyne) Bergman, and she preceded him in 1996.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie & Ronald “Hank” Reichert of Yorkshire and Pamela & Michael Fishbaugh of St. Henry; grandchildren, Jessica & Scott Thobe, Brittany & Alan Pleiman, Joshua Reichert, Zachary & Chelsey Fishbaugh, McKenzie Fishbaugh, Jaren & Kaylee Fishbaugh; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Charlie, Raegen, Connor, Avery, Landon, Drew, Kyra, Stella, Caden, and one on the way; siblings and in-laws, Melody Bergman, Pat & Arnie Clune, Tom & Charlene Bergman, Paul Bergman, Louis & Mary Bergman, Harold & Jean Bergman, Doris & Mike Schultz, Karen & Don Luthman, and Judy & Dave Bruns.
Dennis was also preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Ken Bergman, Sandy Bergman, Charlie & Sue Bergman, Rosie & Mike Pearson, Shirley Boylan, Jerry & Carol Heyne; and father and mother-in-law, Louis & Norma Heyne.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. He was a member of the Ft. Recovery Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed Eldora Speedway, trap shooting, fishing, hunting and dirt track racing. Dennis was a member of the United States National Guard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, December 28 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, December 27, from 4PM to 7PM and on Saturday from 9AM to 9:30AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
