David Siefring

David J. ‘Doc’ Siefring , age 76, of Philothea , Ohio , died on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at h is home . He was born August 19, 1939 in Philothea, to the late Bernard J. and Pauline (Dues) Siefring. On October 28, 1961, he married Eileen (Knapke ) and she survives . He is survived by four children, Bill & Ruth Siefring of Fort Recovery, Gary Siefring of Coldwater, Theresa & Tim Brady of Coldwater and Craig Siefring of Philothea , six grandchildren: Ray, Jessica, Eddie & Jason Siefring, Clay & Cole Brady; siblings, Luetta Forsthoefel, Bernice & Don Wellman and Herbert Siefring all of Coldwater Gerald Siefring and Roger & Rose Ann Siefring all of Philothea and in-laws, Mary Siefring of Coldwater, Mildred Siefring of Celina, Dorothy Siefring of Coldwater, Mar Jean & Lester Steinlage of Englewood and Jerry & Janice Knapke of Coldwater . He is preceded in death by s iblings Barthel Siefring, Omer & Monica Siefring, Orville & Jeannette Siefring, Bernard Siefring, Elmer Siefring and Charles Siefring and in-laws, Don Forsthoefel and Stella Siefring . He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Philothea, Sons of the American Legion, Coldwater and NISCO Aerie FOE #3025, Coldwater. He was a lifelong farmer and was Road Superintendant for Butler Township . Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at St. Mary’s Church, Philothea. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 :00 PM to 8 :00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
