David E. Seitz

David E. “Dave” Seitz, age 82 of Bradford, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born October 13, 1942 in Martinsville, Ohio to the late Emmett & Dorothy (Roush) Seitz. Dave was the devoted husband of Judy (Strong) Seitz, whom he married on December 30, 1961.

Dave is survived by his wife Judy, and their children and their spouses, Steve & (Bonnie) Seitz of Bradford and Shelley & (James) Conley of Plain City, Ohio. He was the loving grandfather to Madeline (Grant Frambes) Conley, Michael Conley, Lindsay (Mike) Jay, Dustin Angle and Jessie Milligan and great grandfather to Cooper Jay, Tyler Jay, Kyla Milligan, Kara Milligan and Kendra Milligan. He is survived by siblings, Melvin (Susan) Seitz of Troy, Ohio and Pamela Hawkins of Casstown, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Darryl “Joe” Seitz, William “Bill” Seitz, sister in law, Linda Seitz, brother in law, Gary Hawkins and nephew, Billy Seitz.

Dave retired from Hobart Brothers in Troy, Ohio after 30+ years of service. He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia where he diligently maintained the votive prayer candles and led the rosary on Sunday and weekday masses.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, Ohio with burial to follow in St. Remy Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia, on Monday June 9, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM and on Tuesday, June 10 from 9 to 10 AM.
