David N. Heitkamp

David N. (Quack) Heitkamp, age 51, of St. Henry, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home. He was born November 7, 1963 in Coldwater, to Paul & Stella (Kremer) Heitkamp who survive in St. Henry. On August 8, 1987, he married Paula (Kubsh) in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and she survives in St. Henry. He is also survived by four children Christine (Chris) Van Iderstine of Minster, Chandra (Michael) Niekamp, Brooke Heitkamp and Donald Heitkamp all of St. Henry, two grandchildren, Hali Van Iderstine and Lane Niekamp, three brothers, Dennis (Joan) Heitkamp of Ft. Recovery, Dale (Mary Ann) Heitkamp, Duane (Judy) Heitkamp all of St. Henry, a mother-in-law Terese Kubsh of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and in laws Judy Heitkamp of New Bremen, Cheryl (Tom) Peltier of Spokane, Washington, David (Lynn) Kubsh of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and Dan Kubsh of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was also preceded in death by a brother Donald Heitkamp and his father-in-law Quiren Kubsh. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the American Legion. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and worked at Crown Equipment in New Bremen. Quack was an avid bow hunter, who loved to work in the garden, fish, trap, and hang out in "THE BARN". Quack was an amazing Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and a friend to all. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Henry Church with Fr. Tom Hemm, officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery with Military Rites. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
