David J. Heitman

David J. Heitman, age 69, of Anna, Ohio, died on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Fair Haven in Sidney, Ohio.  He was born on March 18, 1956 in Sidney, Ohio to Roman & Shirley (Kohler) Heitman.  His mother survives in Anna. He married Lisa Becker on April 15, 1978 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Rhine, Ohio and she survives in Anna. He is also survived by children & grandchildren: Gregory & Cassie Heitman, Upper Arlington, and their children: Lucas and Eliza, Mark & Jessica Heitman and their children: Cora, Brant and Camille, Joshua & Lindsey Heitman and their children Liam, Macsen, Veralyn, siblings: Deborah & Denny Nagel, Anna, Dan & Deb Heitman, Sidney, Dennis & Lora Heitman Anna.  He was preceded in death by his father Roman Heitman on November 15, 2024. Dave was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville.  He was a member of the Sidney Pilots Association, and Moose Lodge.  He loved to fly and keeping busy at his farm in Port Jefferson clearing trails, cutting wood and other things. He loved spending time with his family on the water.  He was in Real Estate Management and the owner and operator of numerous rental properties for over 35 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 3 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, September 10 at SACRED HEART CHURCH, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice.
