David J. Hackemoeller

David J. Hackemoeller age 92 of Minster, Ohio passed away on October 23, 2022 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.  He was born on August 25, 1930 in Minster, Ohio to the late Joseph L. & Florence (Fischer) Hackemoeller.  He married Alberta Heitkamp on August 22, 1953 in St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2017.  He is survived by children: Debra & Robert Schmiesing, Anna, Dale & June Hackemoeller, Minster, Diane & Robert Flaute, Botkins, Kendra & Jeffrey Seger, Fort Loramie, Kristie & John Huston, Sidney, Kim & Terry Thornsberry, New Bremen, 22 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, sister: Nancy & Rich Romie, Fort Loramie, brother-in-law: Dennis & Rita Heikamp, New Bremen.  He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sisters: Jean & Sylvester “Bud” Meyer, Ruth & Norman “Mac” McClellan. David was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, St. Augustine Orphan Society, Knights of Columbus, New Bremen Rod & Gun Club, American Legion Post 0387, Eagles F.O.E. 1391. He was also a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 28, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home Minster from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 27 and from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Friday, October 28.
