Daniel C. Pease, age 71 of Coldwater, died on Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born April 10, 1943 in Jay County, Indiana to the late Basil & Ida (Wendel) Pease. He married M. Jane (Wendel) on August 24, 1963 and she survives in Coldwater. He is survived by four children, Kevin (Cheryl Abels) Pease , Tami (Randy) LaRue and Kerry (Lori Kaup) Pease all of Celina and Scott (Beth Bruggeman) Pease of Coldwater, ten Grandchildren Karlyn & Anthony Marchal, Kassie Pease, Kendra Pease & Keith Pease, Larissa LaRue & fiancé Zach Albert, Kahl LaRue, Chelsie & Jason Schlarman, Dustin Pease, Jordan Pease & Braydan Pease, four great grandchildren Beckett, Loretta, Corey and Owen, siblings, Joan (Mark) Muhlenkamp of Coldwater, Wilfred (Ann) Pease of Celina, Gene (Darlene) Pease of Michigan and Darlene (Ron) Poeppelman of Indianapolis, mother in law Rita Wendel of Coldwater and in laws Karen (Randy) Schwieterman of Coldwater and Bill Gaerke of Ft. Recovery. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law Melvin Wendel and in laws Linda Wendel, Ronald Wendel and Mary Wendel-Gaerke. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Mercer County Harness Association, Coldwater & Celina American Legion and Eagles Clubs and the Celina Moose. Dan was a retired Dairy Farmer; he cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to play cards. He was also a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals Fan. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
