Daniel Lachat

Daniel Lachat age 61 of Russia, Ohio died on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center.   He was born December 13, 1959 in Frankfort, KY to Norbert & Rose (Monnin) Lachat.  They both survive in Russia, Ohio.  He married Angela Dunkel on August 23, 1980 in Russia, Ohio and she survives in Russia.  He is also survived by children: Amy & Dan Weinert, St. Paris, Michael Lachat & Kristin Sparks, Piqua, Melissa & Samuel Vanderbosch, Ft. Wayne, Alex & Meghan Lachat, Columbus, 8 grandchildren and 2 on the way, brother: Chris & Barb Lachat, Greenville, Renee & Phil Stickel. Russia, Michelle & Ted Poeppelman, Anna, in-laws Jackie & Vic Stuffel, Muncie, Barbara & Harry Crego, Huber Heights, Mark & Mary Dunkel, Mentor, Janel Grillot, Russia, Suzette & Marvin Smith, Troy, Tina & Doug Ike, Houston, Ohio.  Dan was a member of St. Remy Church, Russia and the Knights of Columbus, Russia. He was a graduate of Russia High School. Dan was a Boy Scout Leader and helped form and coach the Russia Bowling Teams, assisted in coaching youth baseball and softball and was active in bowling leagues.  He retired from Francis Manufacturing after 36 years of service.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.  A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, December 21, 2020 with live streaming on St. Remy Face book page.  Burial will follow in St. Remy Cemetery.  The Family would like to receive friends but due to COVID 19 concerns, the viewing will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Russia High School Bowling in care of Keith Bohman at McBo's Lanes 498 W. Main St. Versailles, OH 45380.
