Cyril F. Overman, age 86 of 1495 St. Rt. 716 Maria Stein, Ohio died at 7:38 PM at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, Ohio. He was born July 10, 1927 in Maria Stein, Ohio to the late Louis & Rosina (Rolfes) Overman. He married Elizabeth Ann, "Betty" Overman on October 3, 1953, in Osgood, Ohio. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2013. He is also survived by his children Deb & Roger Kremer, St. Henry, Howard & Pat Overman, New Bremen, Tammy & Lou Schwieterman, Montezuma, Bonnie & Jim Rutschilling, Celina, Frank & Jayne Overman, New Bremen, Lisa & Tony Goecke, Liberty, IN, Mandy & Lester Fleck, St. Sebastian, son-in-law, Gary Rose, St. Sebastian, 28 grandchildren & 25 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters, Dorothy Gerlach, St. Henry, Louis & Joan Overman, Maria Stein, Marilyn & Bill Braun, Columbus, Joan Overman, Celina, Alma Overman, Dayton, in laws Bernice Frey, Osgood, Marian & Walter Braun, St. Rose, Marilyn Homan, Coldwater, Alberta & Willard Bruns, St. Sebastian, Juliana Frey, Ft. Loramie, Herbert Hoying, Sidney, Bernie Frey, Dayton. He was preceded in death by daughter Joyce Rose, brothers & sisters, Viola & Norbert Dippold, Alvina & Bernard Hemmelgarn, Richard & Alma Overman, Linus Overman & Otmar Overman, in-laws Dorothy Hoying, Lucille & Andrew Bergman, Ralph & Esther Frey, Alvin Frey & Vernon Frey, Donald Homan. Cy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Men's Sodality of the church and the Church Choir. He was a member of the American Legion, Maria Stein and the former manager of the Legion Bar. He was a member of the Marion Local Athletic & Band Boosters and active in all Youth Activities. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. Cy worked formerly worked for Maria Stein Grain and retired from Minster Machine. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Friday, February 28, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Brenberger celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday, February 28, 2014.
