Cyril R. "Cy" Broering age 84 of 2204 St. Johns Rd. Maria Stein, Ohio died 9:45 AM on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Gardens of St. Henry. He was born on September 6, 1928 in Cassella, Ohio to the late Anthony & Josephine (Holdheide) Broering. He married Mildred "Millie" Guggenbiller on May 7, 1952 in Sharpsburg, Ohio. She survives in Maria Stein. He is also survived by children Anthony & Linda Broering, Maria Stein, Michael & Kathy Broering, Maria Stein, Steve & Nancy Broering, Maria Stein, Ken & Karen Broering Maria Stein, & Elaine & David Wolters, Maria Stein, 26 grandchildren & 26 great grandchildren, brother Harold & Rosella Broering, Maria Stein, 2 sisters-in-law Irene Broering, Frenchtown & Kate Broering Maria Stein. He was preceded in death by brothers & sister, Lawrence, Richard, Joseph, Fr. Victor, Andrew, Clarence, Roman & Rosemary Overman. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, Men's Sodality of the Church, Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, Catholic Financial Life & on the Marion Local School Board for 11 years. He was a veteran during the Korean War, a retired lifetime farmer & a Marion Mutual Insurance Agent. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Monday, December 10, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Schroeder celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2012 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Monday, December 10.
