Connie L. Kane

Connie L. Kane, age 70, of Marco Island, FL, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 16, 2025. Born on July 13, 1954 in Wapakoneta, OH. She was the beloved daughter of Edward and Norma (Bills) Swink. Connie was a loving and devoted wife to W. Bruce Kane for over 37 years, whom she married on June 13, 1987.

Connie is survived by her husband Bruce. Her children: Brad & Julie Heitkamp of Bellbrook, Brian & Kristina Heitkamp of Dayton. Stepchildren; Michael & Nicole Kane of Seattle, WA and Jennifer Kane of Alpena, MI. She was a proud grandmother to William, Adeline, Noah, Avery, Harlow, Savannah, and Asher Heitkamp, Leo & Zoe Kane. She is also survived by her siblings: Gary & Peg Swink, Kathy Swink, Pam & Ed Blake, Tom & Amy Swink, in-laws: Robert & Lynne Kane, Doug & Jan Kane, Elizabeth "Buffy" Storey & Glenn Campbell, Gordon & Sandra Kane, and Martha & Joe LaFave. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Edward Swink, brother Michael Swink, and in-laws: Walter Bruce Kane, Roberta & Thomas Harvey.

Connie was a dedicated believer of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passionately loved her family. She cherished attending her grandchildren's activities, and spending time with family and friends.

A service celebrating the life of Connie will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Burial will be at St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 21, from 10 AM to 1 PM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to South Dayton Presbyterian Church.
