Constance M. (Connie) Albers, age 70, of Anna, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2017 at Heritage Manor in Minster. She was born on October 8, 1946 in Dayton to the late Charles & Marie (Kronenberger) Ballmann. On October 12, 1968 she married Aloys Albers, her loving husband of 48 years, and he survives in Anna.
Connie is also survived by 6 children: Mark & Darla Albers, Paul & Kathy Albers, Roseann & Jon Robinson, all of Anna, Lois & Jim Spitzer of Versailles, Sharon & Jon Egbert and Patty & Benji Steinke all of Anna; 17 grandchildren: Nikki, Amy & Luke Albers, Josh, Jennifer & Jacob Robinson, Joe, Kara, Gabby, Tony & Jack Spitzer, Eli, Ethan & Owen Egbert, Brook, Paige and Austin Steinke; siblings: Br. Jim Ballmann C.P.P.S. of Whiting IN, Mary & Dick Fulwiler of Englewood, Charlene & Nick Wenning of Coldwater, Kathy & Jerry Evers of Englewood, Rosie & Joe Buschur of Dayton and Rita & Denny Riethman of Coldwater; in-laws Bob (Rita) Hilgefort of Sidney, Rose & Alfred Gehret of Anna, Regina & Art Fischer of Ansonia, Dave (Thecla) Heitkamp of Coldwater, Vernon Albers of Anna, Joanne (Cyril) Bills of St Marys, Henry & Bernice Albers of Anna, Mary & Fred Winner of Osgood, Marvin & Rosemary Albers of Anna, Theresa Albers of Sidney, John & Sherry Albers of Georgetown TX, and Leonard & Lou Ann Albers of Anna; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Paula Ballmann and in-laws Rita Hilgefort, Thecla Heitkamp and Cyril Bills.
Connie was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in McCartyville, the Altar Rosary Sodality and a former CCD teacher. She formerly worked at Reynolds & Reynolds in Dayton, briefly at Heritage Manor in Minster, and was a farm wife most of her married life.
Connie was a devout Catholic; a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; and a humble, gentle soul. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and taking short trips with her husband. She also enjoyed gardening and canning. Connie will be deeply missed and will always be remembered by all for her kind, caring nature and her beautiful smile.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, McCartyville with Fr. Steve Mondiek officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the Sacred Heart Church from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday.
