Colleen Ann Heckler, age 86, of 312 Oak St. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 7:20a.m. on Monday Jan. 28, 2013 at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She was born on July 4, 1926 in Stanley, WI to the late Charles & Loretta (Trierweiler) Baldeshwiler. On April 27, 1946 she married Dale Heckler, who died Sept. 20, 1999. Survivors include her three sons Mike & Betty Heckler of Coldwater, Elden & Chrisann Heckler of Celina, Charles & Bridget Heckler of Celina, two daughters Teresa & Jim Tolan of Celina, Darlene & Bill Lewis of Tipp City, 17 grandchildren, 23great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, her brother Brig. Gen. "Ret" Vern & Paula Baldeshwiler of Cheyenne, Wy., brothers-in-law Albert & Anna Heckler of Celina, Maurice & Hannah Heckler of Celina and her sister-in-law Phyllis Heckler of Celina. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son Frederick Dale Heckler, sister Ione & Richard Krogman, brothers-in-law Edward & Esther Heckler, Carl & Mable Heckler, Earl & Mildred Heckler, Wayne Heckler, and her sister-in-law Rita & Alvin Mestemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She was very active in the Immaculate Conception Altar Rosary Society and the Sewing Circle. Colleen was a member of the 4th Degree St. Gasper Del Buffalo Aux. and Cooked for the I.C. Rosary Altar Funeral Dinners. She retired in 1989 from the Huffy Bicycle Factory in Celina. As Matriarch she was actively involved in her family and will be remembered as the Cookie Grandma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on Friday Feb. 1, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth G. Alt C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 2-8p.m. on Thursday Jan 31, 2013 and before 10:00a.m. on Friday morning at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to the I.C.
