Cletus H. Wenning, age 87, of Coldwater, died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at his home. He was born June 1, 1927 in Coldwater to the late Leo H. & Rose (Kahlig) Wenning. On February 23, 1949 he married Rosemary (Heitkamp) and she died January 12, 2007. He is survived by eight children, Larry & Cindy Wenning of St. Henry, Dale & Janice Wenning of Coldwater, Betty & Les Kremer of St. Sebastian, David & Janet Wenning of St. Henry, Dennis & Phyllis Wenning of Coldwater, Deb & Tim Knapke of St. Henry, Diane & Jeff Osterholt of Monticello, IN and Joyce Johnsman of St. Marys, 34 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren, siblings Raymond & Mary Wenning of Coldwater, Alvera Bruns of Winter Haven, FL and Lillian Fullenkamp of Coldwater. He is preceded in death by a great granddaughter Cara Siefring, siblings Dorothy & Albert Knapke, Irene & Ed Bender and in laws Wilfred Bruns, Wilfred Fullenkamp, Regina & Ferd Hein, August & Irma Heitkamp, Ida & Clarence Clune, Edwin & Henrietta Heitkamp, Amelia & Cornelius Goecke, Leonard & Edna Heitkamp, Herbert Heitkamp, Clarence & Lorena Heitkamp, Oscar & Josephine Heitkamp and Arthur & Adella Heitkamp. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Ohio. Cletus was a lifelong farmer, he also worked at the former New Idea Plant in Coldwater and for Crown Equipment in New Bremen, he drove a bus for Coldwater Schools and ran Grandpa's Rabbit Ranch for the enjoyment of all of his grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater Ohio.
