Cleopha F. Brunswick

Cleopha F. Brunswick, age 96 of Coldwater, died Wednesday February 24, 2016 at Briarwood Village. She was born September 30, 1919 in St. Wendelin to the late Clem & Teresa (Rammel) Eckstein. On September 6, 1941 she married Joseph H. Brunswick, who died January 22, 1980. She is survived by eight children Leon & Ruth Brunswick of St. Henry, Anna Marie & Jay Schlamb-Hale of Greenville, Kenneth & Ann Brunswick of Bryant, IN, Eileen & Jerome Bohman of Celina, Eugene Brunswick of Celina, Roger & Kathy Brunswick of St. Henry, Cyril & Donna Brunswick of Ft. Recovery, and Viginia & Paul Fortkamp of Ft. Recovery; 36 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings Hilda Niekamp of New Bremen, Irene Mowen of New Bremen, Teresa & William Bowersock of Spencerville, Clarence & Alberta Eckstein of St. Marys and Eugene & Joan Eckstein of Coldwater; and a sister-in-law Eileen Eckstein of Greenville. She is preceded in death by a son Lester; son-in-law Elmer Schlamb Jr.; daughter-in-law Jeanette Brunswick; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings Clem Eckstein, Lee & Helen Eckstein, Herman & Millie Eckstein, Imelda & Florian Keller and Margaret & Clarence Benanzer; and in laws Scott Mowen and Cletus Niekamp. Cleopha was a homemaker and a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, it’s Altar Rosary Sodality where she served two years as president, the Daughters of Isabella Our Lady of Fatima Circle 810 of Ft. Recovery where she served as regent for four years and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, St Gaspar Del Bufalo Ladies Auxiliary of Minster where she served as recording secretary for two years, she also cooked banquet dinners for the Ft. Recovery Knights of Columbus-Mason Banquet for 16 years. Her hobbies were quilting, crocheting, bowling and playing cards. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Saturday, February 27, 2016 at St. Wendelin Church. Burial will follow In St. Wendelin Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm Friday and 8:30 to 9:30 am Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home St. Henry. Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
